Poroshenko orders introduction of electronic pass entry system in ATO zone to fight corruption
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has ordered the replacement of a paper system of passes with an electronic pass entry system on the contact line in Donbas to prevent corruption.
"I was fundamentally dissatisfied with the system of checks on the line of confrontation. And this was one of the reasons for me to make the decision to change the SBU management, who is directly responsible for the organization of this process," the president said in an interview with Channel Ukraina on Friday night.
According to the president, for this reason it was decided to abolish the system of paper passes.
Poroshenko stressed we need to avoid contact between applicants and persons who register passes.
