Poroshenko signs bill on EU granting EUR 1.8 bln micro-financial aid to Ukraine
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a bill on the ratification of the memorandum between Ukraine and the EU on the provision of EUR 1.8 billion of micro-financial aid, the presidential press service reported on Thursday.
The Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of the respective law on June 18, 2015.
The president's administration said that the memorandum on understanding between Ukraine and European Union on granting Ukraine EUR 1.8 billion was signed in Riga on May 22, 2015 and comes into force when the European Union receives official notification from Ukraine that the latter passed all domestic procedures envisaged by the Ukrainian legislation.
