Ukraine continues importing gas via only Slovakia on July 2
On July 2, Ukraine continued importing natural gas through only Slovakia, the press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz reported on Thursday.
According to tentative data of the central control department, in the morning of July 2 natural gas for the needs of Ukrainian consumers was imported using the Slovakian gas transport hub with a volume of 13.9 million cubic meters a day.
On June 1, 13.6 million cubic meters was imported to Ukraine from Slovakia.
Despite the suspension of gas imports from Russia due to the high price, Ukraine continues pumping gas to its underground storage facilities. On July 1 almost 30 million cubic meters was pumped, while on June 30 – 49.4 million cubic meters.
Daily gas consumption by Ukraine on July 1 was around 33 million cubic meters. Gas producers sent around 54 million cubic meters to the Ukrainian gas transport system.
Natural gas transit via Ukrainian pipelines to Europe and Moldova was 227 million cubic meters on July 1.
