The Verkhovna Rada has rejected a bill on changes to the system of economic regulation.
Only 146 MPs supported the bill with the quorum being 226 votes.
The bill did not receive enough votes to be sent back for revision.
According to an explanatory note, the bill was designed to reduce the number of regulatory documents.
The bill was aimed at eliminating excessive regulation of economic activity and was prepared in response to the decisions of the coalition agreement.
According to Samopomich faction deputy Viktoria Ptashnyk, the bill was not adopted because it did not contain specific changes to legislation to change the system of economic regulation.
According to her, the adoption of the bill would have brought chaos to economic activities.
