Rada ratifies agreement between Ukrainian, Romanian governments on protecting information with restricted access
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified an agreement between the Ukrainian and Romanian governments on the mutual protection of information with restricted access.
A total of 282 MPs voted in favor of ratification on Wednesday.
The agreement was signed on October 22, 2013 in Bucharest. It establishes an equal partnership o in the information exchange process and makes the parties take necessary steps to protect information with restricted access found during cooperation.
The Ukrainian entities subject to the agreement are state agencies, companies, organizations and institutions, whose operation, according to the national laws, is related to state secrets. Such entities are to have a license to pass secret information over to foreign partners.
The agreement is to make relevant the Ukrainian and Russian agencies provide proper state control over entities to ensure they adhere to laws of the countries involved during the exchange of information with restricted access.
