'Increased fighting' observed in Donetsk airport area, situation in Shyrokyne 'relatively calm' - OSCE report
The Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE SMM) has observed "increased fighting at and around the Donetsk airport".
"The situation as observed at and around the Donetsk airport saw increased fighting; the situation around Shyrokyne was relatively calm, and the SMM verified press reports that there are no civilians remaining in the village. The SMM observed delays for civilians attempting to cross the checkpoint at Zaitseve," the mission said in its report, published on Monday evening.
"At and around the Donetsk airport, the SMM noted an increase in cease-fire violations as compared to recent days," it said.
