Armenian police chief visits Yerevan protest venue
Armenian police chief Vladimir Gasparyan has arrived at Baghramyan Avenue in central Yerevan, which sees the fourth day of protests against hikes in electricity prices.
Gasparyan and other police officers inspected the protest venue, but refused to speak to anyone, an Interfax correspondent reported.
Prior to this, demonstrators, who had spent their third night at the avenue, helped the city's municipal services to clean the area and wash the pavement.
The situation was quiet at Baghramyan Avenue last night.
