Ukraine's Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don reopens – Klimkin
The Ukrainian Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don, which was attacked by vandals on June 13, has reopened, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.
"The Ukrainian Consulate General has reopened after the vandal attack. The consuls are working. You can't beat us," the minister wrote on his Twitter account on Monday.
It was reported that in the early hours of June 13, a group of about 50 people threw eggs and stones at the consulate's building. As a result, most windows were smashed and computers and office equipment in the consular section damaged. None of the staff were hurt because there was no one inside the building at the time.
The incident forced the diplomatic mission to temporarily suspend consular services for Ukrainian citizens.
