Sajdik appointed OSCE special representative on Ukraine
OSCE Chairperson in Office Ivica Dacic has appointed Austrian diplomat Martin Sajdik OSCE special representative on Ukraine, the OSCE reported on its website on Monday.
Dacic said Sajdik is a very experienced diplomat with a broad scope, from international law to issues that require comprehensive debate, adding that the OSCE is happy to welcome him into its team.
It was reported in early June that Swiss diplomat Heidi Tagliavini, special representative of the OSCE chairperson in office on Ukraine, planned to give up her mandate.
Sajdik's appointment took place before the next meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine in Minsk.
