Contact Group members differ over prisoner swaps, border control, lifting of economic siege - source
The Trilateral Contact Group has yet to achieve compromise on key issues in the Donbas peace process, a source in the group arranging the Minsk negotiations told Interfax on Wednesday.
"So far, viewpoints differ greatly, for instance, in the field of prisoner swaps, the lifting of economic restrictions on Donbas, and control over the Donbas sector of the state border with Russia," he said.
Besides, Ukraine has not made public its position on the political settlement proposals of Donetsk and Luhansk. "There has been no response from Kyiv representatives to the proposal of Donetsk and Luhansk to hold Donbas elections and to adjust the Ukrainian constitution," the source said.
