Losses which occurred as a result of corrupt schemes at the BRSM-Nafta oil depot in Vasylkiv district have exceeded UAH 1 billion, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Valentyn Nalyvaichenko has said
"The materials, a Prosecutor General's Office investigator has got from me, include data on the corruption scheme, which caused losses exceeding UAH 1 billion to the national budget in 2014-2015," he told reporters after an interrogation at the main investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office.
He said major Russian companies, which supplied petroleum products and its components to this illegal oil storage depot, were involved in this scheme.
"This scheme includes former minister Stavytsky [ex-Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky] - we mentioned him. In this scheme of illegal transactions [in any case, he stopped law enforcers, the Interior Ministry] in October 2014 was Ukrainian citizen Danylenko, the then deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine," Nalyvaichenko said.
