Poroshenko Bloc MP proposes reducing quorum for LLC stockholders' meetings to 50% plus one share
Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP, Pavlo Rizanenko, has proposed that the Verkhovna Rada should reduce the quorum for shareholder meetings of limited liability companies (LLC) from 60% to 50% plus one share.
The relevant initiative is set out in bill No. 2757, registered in the parliament on April 29, 2015.
"The People's Front faction asks to include bill No. 2757, filed on April 28, 2015, in the agenda, this is the bill of MP Rizanenko. It concerns the percentage of 50% plus one share. I mean Zaporizhia Titanium and Magnesium Combine. We need to correct the situation, like when we provided the state with the possibility of receiving dividends from joint-stock companies – we need to improve the situation with LLCs in the same way," MP Andriy Teteruk said during a conciliatory council of the parliament.
As reported, the parliament previously reduced the quorum for meetings of the shareholders of joint-stock companies from 60% to 50% plus one share.
