Ukrainian Navy to celebrate its holiday on first Sunday of July – decree
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has established the Day of Ukrainian Navy.
It will be celebrated on the first Sunday of July.
"To establish the holiday in Ukraine – Ukrainian Navy Day that will be annually celebrated on the first Sunday of July," reads the president's decree as of June 12, which was posted on his website.
The decree becomes effective on the day of its publication.
With another decree, Poroshenko established the professional holiday of sea and river fleet workers day which will be celebrated on the same day.
