Firefighters using foam to put out oil depot blaze near Kyiv, three cisterns still burning
Three 900-cubic-meter cisterns filled with fuel are still burning on the premises of the BRSM-Nafta oil depot in the Vasylkiv district of the Kyiv region on Friday morning, Ukraine's State Emergency Situations Service said in a press release.
"At 9:00 a.m. on June 12, rescuers began using foam [to put out the blaze]. Three cisterns, each with a capacity of 900 cubic meters, are still burning," it said.
The service once again reaffirmed that there was no threat of the fire spreading towards the KLO oil depot or an Armed Forces unit stationed nearby.
"The situation is being monitored all the time. Three brigades are working," it said.
