Russia to reciprocate if G7 toughens sanctions - Peskov
If the G7 member-states decide to toughen anti-Russian sanctions, Moscow will not leave this decision unanswered, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Russia has repeatedly emphasized its commitment to the reciprocity principle in sanction affairs. Naturally, any sanction steps won't be left unanswered based on reciprocity," Peskov told journalists in commenting on U.S. Vice President Joe Biden's statement on the G7's intention to step up the sanctions against Russia.
Peskov refrained from commenting on the U.S.' concerns regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Italy.
"These are issues that concern mostly relations between Moscow and Rome," Peskov said.
