Germany has ratified the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andrij Melnyk has said.
"Good news: Germany completed a procedure of ratification Association Agreement and passes respective credentials to Brussels," he wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Twitter expressed his gratitude to Germany for "one more important step on the way to European integration."
As reported, in late March, the German Bundestag ratified Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. On May 8, the Upper Chamber of the German Parliament also ratified the agreement.
At present, the agreement has been ratified by 20 EU member states, in four others the agreement has been ratified by one of the two parliamentary chambers, and another four are preparing for ratification
