U.S. investigating new sanctions against Russia – U.S. Treasury
U.S. Department of the Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said that the United States and G7 allies may impose new restrictive measures on Russia over its actions against Ukraine.
"The United States and our allies in the G7 are ready to impose substantial additional punishment on the Russian Federation, if it will need to respond to its aggressive actions in the east of Ukraine," the local media quote the secretary as saying during his meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk, who together with Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko is on a visit to the United States.
