Ihor Benedysiuk elected Chairman of Supreme Council of Justice of Ukraine
The Supreme Council of Justice of Ukraine has elected Ihor Benedysiuk as its chairman.
According to Interfax-Ukraine reporter, Benedysiuk was supported by all 17 members of the Supreme Council of Justice that were present at the meeting on Tuesday.
Judge of the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine, member of the Supreme Council of Justice Oleksiy Muravyov was elected Deputy Chairman of the council.
Decisions on creating sections of the Council were made at the meeting. These include a section on the appointment and dismissal of judges and the disciplinary section.
As expected, section secretaries will be approved along with the council's staff. The meeting was the first of the council.
