Trilateral ministerial level gas talks could be held in late June – European Commission
EU Commissioner for Energy Miguel Arias Canete has said that EU-Ukraine-Russia ministerial gas talks could be held in late June.
The meeting could be held to resolve the tasks that are not resolved at the technical level, he said at a press conference on Monday in Luxemburg after a meeting of the EU Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council.
Canete said work over the protocol at the technical level has been completed and the position regarding security of supplies to Ukraine is now more comfortable.
He said that last year, thanks to reverse flows, 5 billion cubic meters of gas was supplied, and the total amount subsequently reached 15 billion cubic meters, which he described as a success.
