Ukrainian, German foreign ministers discuss upcoming Trilateral Contact Group meeting, European integration
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed preparations for a meeting of the working subgroups of the Trilateral Contact Group on settling the situation in Donbas.
"We discussed approaches. Surely, we also discussed preparations for meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group and working subgroups that should take place on June 2 and agreed upon our steps in connection with this," Klimkin said at a press conference with Steinmeier in Kyiv on Friday.
While focusing on de-escalation and stabilization of the situation in Donbas, the parties also touched upon Ukraine's European integration agenda, Klimkin said. In particular, the two discussed ways to speed up the implementation of projects within the framework of assistance provided by Germany and bilateral mechanisms for efficient cooperation.
