Efficient mechanism to implement Minsk agreements needed – Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called for the introduction of an efficient mechanism to implement the Minsk agreements.
"The developments following the signing the Minsk agreements prove that we need an efficient mechanism for the implementation of these agreements," Poroshenko said during the 8th Security Forum on Thursday.
"What do we need to do? We must to get Russia to sit down to talks, we must achieve [the] withdrawal of the troops. We must block the border under OSCE monitoring…We wish to have peacekeepers or European police forces [in Ukraine]. For this purpose we need to coordinate actions for implementation of the Minsk agreements," Poroshenko said.
