Stoltenberg assures Obama that NATO is helping to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at negotiations with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington that NATO is making its contribution to improving Ukraine's defense capability.
"Mr. Stoltenberg stressed that NATO is strengthening Ukraine's ability to defend itself, and affirmed that the Alliance is committed to supporting its other partners across Europe," NATO said in a statement posted on its website.
Stoltenberg and Obama agreed that "the full implementation of the Minsk agreements is the 'path to peace', and urged all parties to work towards this in good faith," it said.
