AMIC Energy plans to finish rebranding of 240 filling stations in Ukraine by Aug 2015

AMIC Energy Management GmbH (Vienna, Austria) plans to finish rebranding 240 filling stations in Ukraine that previously belonged to Russia's LUKOIL by August 2015, AMIC Energy Managing Director Gunter Maier said at the opening of the first rebranded filling station at Peremohy Avenue in Kyiv on Tuesday.

He said the rebranding of 50 filling stations is scheduled to be finished by late May.

Maier also said that the company plans to invest $30 million in its development in Ukraine in the near future.

Chairman of the supervisory board of AMIC Energy Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer said that $10 million of the funds will be allocated directly to rebrand filling stations, including a marketing and advertising campaign.

As reported, LUKOIL Europe Holdings B.V. (a subsidiary of LUKOIL, the Russian Federation) and Austria's AMIC Energy Management GmbH on April 29 announced the closing of a deal on the sale of LUKOIL-Ukraine, which operates around 240 fuel filling stations and six tank farms in Ukraine. LUKOIL-Ukraine was renamed AMIC Ukraine.
