Poroshenko, Merkel, Hollande reiterate all clauses of Minsk agreements should be observed
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande at a meeting in Riga reiterated the need to implement all clauses of the Minsk agreements, in particular, the ceasefire, the withdrawal of heavy weapons, and the release of all hostages.
Poroshenko noted the lack of progress in the release of hostages, including Nadia Savchenko, who is being illegally held in custody in Russia, the press service of the Ukrainian president reported.
In addition, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande coordinated their efforts ahead of the G7 meeting which is scheduled for June in Munich.
The Eastern Partnership summit is currently underway in Riga.
