Ukraine's Dnipro football team reach their first ever final of Europa League
Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk-based Dnipro football team reached their first ever final of the UEFA Europa League, having defeated Italy's Napoli with a 1-0 win on Thursday night.
Myron Markevych's trainees broke through in the 58th minute, when striker Yevhen Seleznyov headed home the only goal of the second leg of the Europa League semi-final held at Kyiv's Olimpiyskiy Stadium instead of Dnipropetrovsk because of the proximity of Dnipro's home stadium to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Dnipro thus sealed a 2-1 aggregate win.
Holders Sevilla became the second finalist of the competition after they had beaten Fiorentina 2-0 away with a 5-0 aggregate win.
Dnipro will play with the Spaniards in Warsaw on May 27.
