Yatseniuk asks parliament to expand powers of Anti-Corruption Bureau
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has asked the Ukrainian parliament to expand the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, specifically to authorize the bureau with powers to investigate false information in the income declarations of officials.
"As for the competence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau we ask the parliament to expand powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau in part of investigating into cases when state officials submit untrue information in their income declarations," Yatseniuk said.
He said that criminal responsibility for the submission of false information will be introduced. Yatseniuk also said that there are many case of false information in the income declarations of officials.
