EU assessment mission on Donbas begins work – Poroshenko, Tusk
The EU Assessment Mission tasked with uncovering the current situation in Donbas began its work on May 14, the Ukrainian presidential press service has reported.
"The interlocutors [Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and European Council President Donald Tusk] positively assessed beginning the EU-Ukraine summit's decision to send an assessment mission on the analysis of the Donbas situation, which today starts its work," reads the report.
Poroshenko and Tusk met in Aachen (Germany) to coordinate actions on de-escalating the crisis in Donbas.
