Savchenko case unrelated to Minsk agreements implementation - Kremlin spokesman
Ukrainian military servicewoman Nadia Savchenko's release has no relation to the implementation of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine, says Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's Tuesday remarks in Sochi were mentioned during Peskov's conversation with journalists on Wednesday. In particular, referring to Kerry's words that Savchenko's release could be among measures to convince the U.S. of the implementation of the Minsk agreements and that this could happen quickly, a journalist asked Peskov how reasonable this remark was.
"Savchenko's release has no relation to the implementation of the Minsk agreements," Peskov replied.
