Minsk accords main path towards peace in east Ukraine - Kerry
The Minsk agreements are the best and main way to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, says U.S. State Secretary John Kerry.
In our view, the Minsk agreements are the best way and the main way to peace, he said after talks with Russian President Vladimir and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Sochi.
These agreements should be fully implemented as soon as possible, he said.
Kerry also confirmed that Moscow and Washington largely agree over the issue of the Ukrainian resolution, although differences remain between the two countries about various details.
But the most important thing is that we agree that this problem will be resolved if the Minsk agreements are fully implemented and if our friends and allies play a certain role in helping it, he added.
