Russia must get out of Ukraine – Canada's foreign ministry

Canada still is a true friend of Ukraine and wishes to help the country on its way to reforms, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rob Nicholson said during his visit to Ukraine.

"Canada stands with the people of Ukraine…Russia must get out of Ukraine," an official Twitter of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry quotes Nicholson as saying.

"Russia's actions in Ukraine are illegal and reprehensible, but also blunt and transparent. Canada continues to be very concerned by the recent resurgence of violence, in particular near Mariupol, and by ongoing violations of the Minsk agreements by Russia and the insurgents," the ministry re-tweeted Nicholson.

For his part, Nicholson's Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin has said Ukraine and Canada have unique humanitarian liaisons and has confirmed Canada is Ukraine's real friend.
