NATO General Secretary: Separatists could start offensive in Ukraine in shortest terms
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is concerned with the amount of military equipment accumulated in Russia along the borders with Ukraine and eastern Ukraine which is under control of illegal armed groups.
"In eastern Ukraine Russia and the separatists have a capacity… which enables them to launch new attacks in very little warning time. So they have the capacity, what intention is I don’t want to speculate on," he said at a press conference in Brussels.
Expressing concern about the present situation he called on Russia to respect the border with Ukraine and remove their troops from the contact line.
The military presence is violation of Minsk agreements, he said.
