Ukrainian border guards stop 50 Donbas-bound vehicles with food, other supplies
Over 50 vehicles carrying consumer goods that were about to be delivered to the militant-controlled territory were stopped in Donetsk region on Saturday, May 9, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service said.
"As a result of the measures to detect illegal movement of goods along the contact line, law enforcement officers have identified 52 vehicles, 39 of which tried to cross the contact line through the Rodina mine. They were stopped by an inter-agency group consisting of border, military, security and fiscal officers," the spokesperson said on Sunday, May 10.
Another 13 vehicles were found heading towards Kramatorsk and Vel y ka Novosilka. The vehicles were carrying food, household detergents and so on. Some of the vehicles have been sent for additional checks, the others are in border squads' custody.
