Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity must be restored - Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that Berlin will continue working with Moscow to resolve the situation in Ukraine and restore its territorial integrity despite the differences with Russia.

"The implementation of the Minsk Set of Measures is about restoring Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. And we will continue working on it jointly," she told a press conference after talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"This is a difficult path for Germany but we will continue our work on it further," she stressed.
