Implementation of Minsk agreement on Ukraine imperfect, but better than nothing – U.S. ambassador to NATO
The U.S. considers the implementation of the Minsk agreements in eastern Ukraine to be imperfect, but says that it is better than nothing, U.S. ambassador to NATO Douglas Lute said Friday.
"Implementation of Minsk has been mixed and uneven but it is better than no Minsk," Lute told reporters.
According to him, these agreements give "a glimmer of diplomatic hope" for ending the conflict in Ukraine's east.
