Fate of 38 Ukrainians in Nepal still unknown - Foreign Ministry
Thirty-eight citizens of Ukraine who stayed in Nepal during a series of devastating earthquakes still had not contacted Ukrainian diplomats as of Friday evening, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
"There is no contact with 38 citizens of Ukraine who could be on Nepalese territory. No information has been obtained about any dead Ukrainians either. The Ukrainian consul in India is still staying in Kathmandu," the ministry said on Friday.
A Ukrainian who was not evacuated recently together with other Ukrainians on board an Ilyushin Il-76 plane because of a severe foot injury has successfully undergone surgery, it said.
