The phone codes of the cities of Crimea were transferred on Thursday to the Russian number system and the code of Crimea was changed from Ukrainian +3065 to Russian +7365, an Interfax correspondent has reported.
"By law we were to switch to the Russian number system on May 1. We worked in a test mode for a week and we are now finally switching to it," Dmitry Polonsky, deputy prime minister of Crimea and information and communications minister of Crimea, said at the ceremony for launching the new system.
He said the tariffs on calls from landline phone numbers will not change.
"We have kept absolutely all Crimean landline numbers. They won't change, only the codes change," Polonsky said.
