Yatseniuk: Police probe embezzlement of state funds by Naftogaz officials in plot with Ostchem
The Ukrainian Interior Ministry is investigating a criminal plot by Naftogaz officials and Ostchem company, which inflicted large-scale losses on the state, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
"The Interior Ministry has opened criminal proceedings on charges of the embezzlement of state property by officials of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in a plot with the Ostchem company (a Firtash-Liovochkin group), as a result of which losses amounting to UAH 5.7 billion were inflicted on the state," the prime minister said at a government meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.
