Ukrainian president liquidates three advisory agencies
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has liquidated three advisory agencies – the Public Humanitarian Council, the Coordinating Council for the Development of Civil Society and the Committee on Reform and Development of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Defense Industry.
Poroshenko signed relevant decree No. 246/2015 on Tuesday, April 28, according to the president's website. The decree was signed in order to improve the system of consultative, advisory and other subsidiary agencies and services and takes effect on the day of its publication.
In this regard, a number of changes have been introduced into the strategy of state policy to promote the development of civil society in Ukraine dated March 24, 2012, and a number of obsolete decrees dealing with the activities and composition of these agencies repealed.
