Ukrainian and German leaders condemn 'truce breaches' by Donbas militants
In a phone call on Monday evening, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel condemned continuing violations of the ceasefire by militants in the south-east of Ukraine, Poroshenko's press service has reported.
"The parties reiterated the need for all sides [in the Donbas conflict] to implement the Minsk agreements in full. They also discussed the functioning of the trilateral Contact Group and the work of the Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe)," the press service said.
Ties between Ukraine and the European Union and preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga were addressed as well.
