Poroshenko signs law on regulating energy relations in ATO zone
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed law No. 284-VII on amending the law on electricity regarding the specifics of regulating relations in the energy sector in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone, the presidential press service has reported.
The law was passed by the parliament on April 7.
The document provides the powers to establish the specifics of regulations on legal, economic and organization relations linked to the sale of electricity from the Ukrainian wholesale market to territories temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities to the Cabinet of Ministers. The law regulates relations linked to production, transmission, distribution, supply, purchase, sale and use of electricity in the said territories.
The government has also defined a list of settlements in the territory of which state executive power agencies temporarily do not work or only work partially.
