Ukrainian businessman Akhmetov's spokesperson dismisses reports about criminal case against him
A spokesperson for Rinat Akhmetov has dismissed the allegations by parliamentarian Yehor Firsov (Petro Poroshenko Bloc) that the billionaire faces criminal charges of financing terrorism and separatism.
"Following the information aired live on Shuster's LIVE program on April 24, 2015, by people's deputy Yehor Firsov that, '…the Prosecutor General's Office has opened a criminal case against Rinat Akhmetov over his financing of terrorism and separatism' we consider it necessary to state this: the information voiced by Yehor Firsov is untrue," the spokesperson said in a statement released in Kyiv.
