Council of Europe knows about every violation of human rights in Crimea – Chubarov
Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov met with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muiznieks in Strasbourg on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Crimea and related human rights issue.
"The meeting with Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muiznieks was [held] in Strasbourg. The questions regarding Crimea and human rights in the occupied peninsula were discussed. [I] can assure you that Muiznieks with his team carefully monitor the situation in Crimea and know about every case of the violation of human rights," Chubarov wrote on Facebook.
Chubarov also said that PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) deputies on Wednesday took part in a roundtable talk on countering Russian aggression and returning Crimea to Ukraine.
