Poroshenko initiates Ukrainian World Congress meeting

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has initiated a meeting of the Ukrainian World Congress, deputy presidential chief of staff Valeriy Chaly has reported.

"Yesterday, the president confirmed his desire and intention to back the organizing of a Ukrainian World Congress meeting after a long period," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

Chaly said that cooperation with the Ukrainian diaspora, as well as the opportunities afforded by cultural diplomacy, has not reached its full potential.
