Rada votes to increase Border Guard Service's staff by 3,000
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has increased the number of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine personnel by 3,000 people.
Presidential bill No. 2471 was voted for by 253 MPs during a parliamentary session on Thursday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported.
The law stipulates that the general number of State Border Guard Service personnel will rise from 50,000 to 53,000.
This will raise the number of Border Guard Service troops to 45,000 people (currently 42,000).
