Health Minister dismisses heads of every ministry department
Health Minister Alexander Kvitashvili has dismissed the heads of every single department at the ministry.
He announced this at a briefing on Friday.
"A complete reorganization of the ministry started yesterday. Three of the ministry's departments are being reorganized. A few people wrote letters of resignation themselves. The rest will wait for the reorganization to end, but they won't work in this period," he said.
Kvitashvili said that four people had resigned, including his deputy Olena Tereschenko.
According to him, the ministry will interview applicants for the vacant positions.
"The process will be open. We must involve a new team," he said.
In addition, Kvitashvili said that the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) had withdrawn its case against First Deputy Health Minister Oleksandra Pavlenko.
"Two days ago the PGO withdrew its case," he said.
