Poroshenko expects contest commission to suggest candidates for position of Anti-Corruption Bureau Head next week
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko hopes that next week the contest commission tasked with choosing candidates for the position of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Head will suggest its options.
"I think that next week the contest commission will at last present candidates to be appointed as Head of the national Anti-Corruption Bureau, and we'll boost anti-corruption abilities of the Security Service of Ukraine [SBU]. I'm pleased with first ant-corruption steps by the Prosecutor General's Office," the President said during his speech in Ternopil Regional State Administration.
He noted that the battle against corruption is one of the authorities' priorities, and the President, government and parliament are united in their efforts to overcome this phenomenon.
