Ukrainian FM Klimkin to visit France to prepare visits of Poroshenko, Yatseniuk
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will visit France on April 8, Ukrainian Ambassador to France Oleh Shamshur has said.
"The minister's visit is planned for April 8," Shamshur said at a Ukrainian Foreign Ministry press club meeting in Kyiv on Thursday.
Klimkin's visit is viewed as a preparatory event before Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk's visits to France, which could take place within the next two months.
"In my view, we'll soon see visits of both the president and the prime minister, and an exchange at inter-parliamentarian levels. In general, we've got a good picture of bilateral [relations] at the highest level," Shamshur said.
Also, a French senate delegation is scheduled to visit Ukraine while representatives of the Ukraine-France friendship group in the Verkhovna Rada plan to visit their peers in Paris.
