Counter-intelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have apprehended a resident of Luhansk region in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone.
In March, the detained person was tasked by so-called Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) militants to organize an underground criminal group to commit sabotage and terrorist attacks in the region.
"He was to help LPR sabotage groups to commit crimes, including 'punitive operations' against locals in the disguise of Ukrainian soldiers," reads the statement posted on the SBU website on Wednesday.
The criminal was also collecting information on the location of ATO forces and local patriotic public activists which he passed on to LPR leaders
