Transdniestrian border guards shoot at Moldovan citizens near Ukrainian border – source
Border guards of the unrecognized Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic opened fire at two Moldovan citizens near the Ukrainian frontier on Tuesday afternoon, a source in the law enforcement authorities told Interfax-Ukraine.
He said the incident happened on the Transdniestrian border near Rozdilniansky district of Odesa region.
"As the result of the shooting, a Moldovan citizen suffered serious injuries. We know that the Transdniestrian border guards are trying to shift the blame on the Ukrainian side and accusing Ukrainian border guards of opening fire," he said.
The state border was not trespassed at the moment, and the Ukrainian border guards had nothing to do with the incident, they did not open fire, the source said.
