Poroshenko signs decree on composition of Constitutional commission
On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the decree on the composition of the Constitutional commission and said that he expected results as soon as possible.
"Today, I signed the decree on approving the composition of the Constitutional Commission. [I] expect it to quickly develop the decentralization project," Poroshenko said while speaking at Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
As reported, on March 3, Poroshenko signed the decree which created the Constitutional commission, an auxiliary agency operating under his supervision. He said we would approve the Constitutional commission regulations and nominated Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman as the commission chairman. Poroshenko asked the Verkhovna Rada committees, the government, the Supreme Court, local self-government associations, the National Academy of Sciences, law schools, research centers, public associations of law and international organizations to propose candidates for the commission by March 12.
